Academics

St. Nicholas School feature an exceptional 11:1 student to teacher ratio in Kindergarten and TK. We are blessed with Instructional Assistants in grades 1-4 allowing for differentiated instruction. Junior High is particularly exciting with advanced Math offerings for eligible students (Geometry in 8th grade) and intensive Literature and Composition programs. The school’s innovative and committed administration and faculty deliver a range of progressive academic programs building strong learners ready for the rigors of nearby College Preparatory high schools. Our state-of-the-art technology center, science lab and 1:1 iPad program puts 21st-century learning in every student’s hands. St. Nicholas graduates have a winning track record, with nearly 100% of our graduating classes attending their first-choice Catholic high schools. Many graduates test into advanced courses for their freshman year.

Community

St. Nicholas features only one class per grade ensuring families, students and faculty grow together like family. Our Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade mixed age campus gives students an opportunity to build friendships among all ages. Older students practice role modeling and leadership skills, while younger students keep the older ones young! Our rich history of school traditions, from the Halloween Parade to the Dads vs. Grads basketball game, bring a unique school spirit to each child’s Celtic experience. Our 17-acre campus includes an outdoor classroom, learning garden, along with ample grass, sport courts, full sized gymnasium and playgrounds.

We also provide an affordable, flexible extended care after-school program along with a tasty hot lunch program for families who are interested!
